Making Forty Great Again

Posted on

Hopefully you saw our Insta post BUT if you haven't, I want to know one thing.

No political talk here!

Would you buy this hat?

I'm thinking about carrying them at Hyde & Chic MKE and here's the story behind the why.

We can all admit it has been a crazy time in American politics! And let's be honest, the saying, "Making   (insert any word here)   Great Again" is sticking around for a while.

Well, you know the friends that you can be anywhere, doing anything with, and you have the time of your lives?! This is them. We call ourselves, "The Traveling Team" for that very reason - just the best of friends that we can travel anywhere with and know it will be a blast.

I laughed so much and so hard on this trip that an eye vessel popped.

(Pictured: Bri, Jason, Me, & Jamie at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa).

When we travel together there are a couple traditions that happen every single time. And every birthday we celebrate with Jason, which is just about every one, we have something to remember it by. How that tradition started is really random and I don't even think it was on purpose. It was just one of those things where you realize you've made it a tradition without meaning to.

So, obviously this year was Jason's 40th birthday so we had to come up with something clever. I'll be honest and admit that I can't take credit for coming up with the saying - that was all the hubbs and he thought of it in like 3.2 seconds.

So I created these hats and had them in hand when we flew to California to surprise Jason for the weekend. We wore them around Carpenteria, Santa Barbara, and Ojai and they got a lot of attention.

Turning 40 is a big deal and no offense to those who make 40th birthday party supplies but finding something current and clever was hard to find. So I thought...

Maybe I should carry them? What do you think? Would you buy one?

Leave a comment on my post on Insta because your feedback will determine whether or not I carry them. :-)

Thanks for reading and Make Monday Great Again. (Haha. Ok, I'll stop now.)
